Health Minister’s Discretionary Grant

This is a health assistance scheme run by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare to help financially poor patients pay for treatment of life-threatening diseases. It provides financial support for hospitalization and medical care in government hospitals when free treatment is not available. The scheme covers diseases listed under Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi (RAN). It is available across all of India.
