Samarth-Respite Care Scheme

The Samarth Respite Care Scheme is run by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. It aims to set up Samarth Centres across India to provide short-term respite care and longer-term residential care for persons with disabilities. The scheme supports individuals who need temporary or permanent care support, including orphaned and abandoned persons with disabilities.
