Coffee Development Programme in Non-Traditional Areas (NTA) : Support for Mixed Shade Tree saplings

This scheme, run by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, encourages coffee growers in non-traditional areas to plant mixed native and fruit-yielding trees like mango, jack, syzygium, and orange alongside their coffee plants. The trees create natural shade for coffee plants while improving soil fertility and moisture retention. This helps increase coffee productivity and supports sustainable farming practices.
