Agroforestry component under RKVY

The Agroforestry component under RKVY is a government scheme run by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to help farmers grow trees on their farmland along with regular crops. Launched in 2016-17, it aims to increase farmer income, expand forest cover across the country, and help fight climate change by storing carbon in trees.
